تصفیه فاضلاب رستوران با روش بستر لجن بی‌هوازی جریان رو به بالا (UASB)

چکیده

رستوران­ها و آشپزخانه­ها روزانه حجم زیادی فاضلاب تولید و در محیط‌زیست رها می­کنند. این اقدام آنها مشکلات جبران ناپذیری را برای چرخه آب، خاک و همچنین هوا به همراه دارد. به­وسیله سه روش فیزیکی، شیمیایی و زیستی می­توان این فاضلاب را قبل از رسیدن به محیط زیست، تصفیه کرد. از بین روش­های تصفیه زیستی بی­هوازی، فرآیند بستر لجن بی‌هوازی جریان رو به بالا (UASB) با توجه به مزایا و عملکرد بسیار مناسب، کمتر برای تصفیه فاضلاب­های انسانی و شهری استفاده شده است. بنابراین، در این پژوهش عملکرد سیستم UASB در حذف COD و چربی فاضلاب رستوران با مقدار COD و چربی به­ترتیب 1925 و mg/l 225، مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. نتایج نشان داد که سیستم تصفیه فاضلاب UASB قادر بود 5/79% COD فاضلاب را در دمای °C 25 و زمان‌ماند هیدرولیکی hr 9 حذف نماید. به­علاوه، اثر دما و زمان هیدرولیکی بر عملکرد سیستم UASB نیز بررسی شد. با افزایش دما درصد حذف COD ابتدا افزایش و سپس کاهش پیدا کرد طوری­که در دمای °C 40، 84% COD فاضلاب حذف شد. همچنین با افزایش زمان‌ماند هیدرولیکی تا day 1، بیش­ترین درصد حذف COD، 5/92 % در دمای °C 40 به­دست آمد که شرایط بهینه تصفیه این نوع فاضلاب با سیستم UASB بود. همچنین در این شرایط، 5/96 و 90% به­ترتیب چربی و نیترات فاضلاب نیز حذف شد.

Restaurants and kitchens release large amounts of wastewater into the environment on a daily basis. This action causes irreparable problems for the water, soil and air cycles. The wastewater can be treated before reaching the environment by three methods: physical, chemical and biological. Among anaerobic biological treatment methods, the upstream anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) process has been less used for human and municipal wastewater treatment despite its advantages and very good performance. Therefore, in this study, the performance of UASB process was investigated in removing COD and fat from wastewater of restaurant having COD and fat of 1925 and 225 mg/l, respectively. The results showed that the UASB wastewater treatment system is able to remove 78% of wastewater COD at temperature of 25 °C and a hydraulic retention time of 9 hrs. In addition, the effect of temperature and hydraulic retentiontime was investigated on the performance of the UASB system. With increasing temperature, the percentage of COD removal first increased and then decreased, so that at 40 °C, 84% of wastewater COD was removed. Moreover, increasing the hydraulic retention time to 1 day, the highest percentage of COD removal, 92.5%, was obtained at 40 °C, which were the optimal treatment conditions for this type of wastewater in the UASB system. In addition,  under these conditions, 96.5 and 90% of fat and nitrate was removed from the wasterwater, respectively.
